Ghanaians have been left heartbroken following the death of music legend Daddy Lumba. In a statement released by his family and signed by their lawyer, Fati Yallah Esq., it was confirmed that the beloved musician, born Charles Kojo Fosu, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025.
According to the family, Daddy Lumba died after battling a short illness.
“With deep sorrow, the Fosu family announces the passing of Ghana’s musical icon,” the statement read. His passing has left a deep void in the hearts of many who grew up with his timeless songs and powerful voice.
