Instacart delivery motorist shot and killed her dog, according to Angela Harmon.
The artist from Law and Order is suing problems in the thousands of dollars. Angie Harmon, the star of Law and Order, has filed a complaint against Instacart and a deliveryman she claims killed while leaving groceries. The lawsuit comes after Harmon had anticipated a grocery delivery from a Charlotte, North Carolina, store at the time, believing she was talking to a vehicle by the name of "Merle." According to Harry, the photo of the vehicle used on the application, in which she responded to questions about her order, was older. However, Christopher Anthoney Reid was really present when the vehicle arrived.
Reid is accused of "impersonating Merle on the Instacart app, "despite being referred to as a" tall and intimidating younger man." The actor described hearing "what sounded like a gunshot "while visiting Harmon's house with her kids. Harmon supposedly discovered Reid "placing a gun in front of his pants, possibly in his pant pocket, "according to the lawsuit, which claimed Harmon ran to find the source of the noise. She saw her dearest dog, Oliver, being shot while looking to the side. Oliver was still alive despite being shot, the lawsuit continued. The tiny dog was sadly put to death after being rushed to the vet's office by Harry.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department claimed Reid claimed he shot the dog in self-defense after it attacked him when he arrived at the house after being interrogated. "He shot a solitary bullet, struck the dog, and suffered a fatal wound to his back. The speech from CMPD Public Affairs stated that there was another dog present at the home but that it did not attack. The lawsuit contends that Reid had an "excuse "to leave the property without shooting Oliver and that Harmon's puppy had not "injured" or "seriously threatened him. Additionally, it asserts that an animal postmortem was not possible before the case was closed.
Instacart stated in a statement that it has "no tolerance for violence of any kind" following the incident. Since then, they have written a second declaration to UNILAD, saying: "Our hearts continue to be with Ms. Following this troubling occurrence, Harmony and her family. We have no compassion for violence of any kind, and the visitor account has been permanently deleted from our program, despite our inability to comment on pending litigation. Carrying a weapon and scams are prohibited by Instagramcart's customer agreement. Although the lawsuit accuses Reid of alleged trespassing, conversion, negligence, careless supervision/hiring, invasion of privacy, and careless misrepresentation, the driver was not at the time. Harmon is suing for damages totaling more than 25, 000, though the precise sum will be decided at trial.”
